If you've got a bit of practice on the wheel or just starting, this 4 week course is for you! These 2-hour classes each week are perfect if you've already had a few classes and are ready to move in some different directions or if you're just beginning. Run by James Shaw, your go-to Lemons man, the smaller groups allow for each student to go where they would like to and with more one on one time with your tutor - the world is your oyster!

The weeks will look like this:

  1. Throwing - Learning and honing skills.
  2. Throwing  - A chance to try some new forms or reinforce your new skills.
  3. Turning -  finishing the bases of your work and making sure everything is perfect for the first firing.
  4. Glazing - a time for you to make your vessels unique!

Each class is for three people (feel free to book all three spots if you want to come as a group, if you'd like to book in advance please contact us and we'll find you a time to suit.

The nitty gritty:
  • These classes are non-refundable, someone else might have potentially loved your spot so it's important to make sure you get there or have a friend come instead!
  • You've got to have close toed-shoes
  • Wear something you can get dirty
  • Long nails can very easily damage your work and make it difficult to throw which is something to consider!
  • The time frame for your finished work should be around 1-3 weeks, if pick-up isn't ideal we can discuss postage

Where?

  • 35 Colebrook St, Brunswick 3056  in the Thinkers and Makers Society facility. A stone's throw away from Moreland Train station via the Upfield line and the end of the Number 6 Tram. There's also plenty of parking too.

  • March classes fall on the 10th, 17th, 24th and the 31st - starting at 12.30pm
  • Aprils classes fall on the 7th, 14th, 21st and the 28th starting at 12.30pm
